Some people call this the ‘Are You Kidding’ Cake, some call it the Three Ingredient Cake, and others just call it delicious. You know me, I like easy, and this is SUPER easy and SUPER moist. The icing I make for it is just as easy and yummy. A friend of mine gave me this recipe, so I don’t know the origin. It’s not a recipe I came up with, but I just had to share it.
Ingredients:
- One Box of Cake Mix
- One Can of Pie Filling
- 3 Eggs
Frosting:
- 1/2 Cup Butter, melted
- 2/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3 C Confectioner’s Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
For cake: Mix all ingredients and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan or a bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. You can use so many variations of cake mix and pie filling. I used a chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling.
For Frosting: Stir melted butter and cocoa powder until evenly mixed. Add confectioner’s sugar and milk – mix. Add vanilla extract and mix with an electric mixer for three or four minutes. Pour over cooled cake.
Enjoy!
